“When I arrived this donkey couldn’t get up because its feet hurt that badly.

Had a call today from a vet referral asking me to go to a donkey in need, due to laminitis, and a crack.

When I arrived the donkey was laid down and unable to get up. I tried trust me!

I had to trim one foot on the floor, turn the donkey over to trim the other foot. After that she wanted to get up by herself. She couldn’t walk but could now stand at least.

A more functional trim was then done which revealed a massive frog infection in one foot, which meant with laminitis the front and the back half of the foot was hurting. no wonder she didn’t want to get up!

I couldn’t put a full clog on as the owner couldn’t get to treat the infection. So I fabricated a rubber glue from GluShu, into a clog like feature to help movement. And a copper sulphate crack repair to help infection of the crack.

From not being a get up at all to being able to walk and eat hay happily! What it’s all about, making a difference.”
