From Joel:

“ This is my friend friend “Abby” who I met after a set up trim a bit ago.

She’s had a rotation event, I previously scored her dorsal wall with a grooving to relieve the proximal pull at the dorsal hoof wall from the distal toe leverage. The coronary hairline shows the relief, she was a star of a youngster never having this advanced type of care.

Set up.

000 GLUSHU WITH FROG SUPPORT PAD & GLUSHU with a rolled toe, easing breakover and chamfered heels with additional length increasing palmar support.

Her lack of sole depth has left her in a negative cycle; utilizing a full pour in pad The 3rd Millennium Ltd silver ion anti microbial will give her the added depth she needs……..

Comfort is key to rehab.

She has a 1/16” positive pressure heart bar, added boney column support as we remodel the external hoof to the internal foot.

A start toward aligning her proximal and distal.

H-L (horn-lamellar) zone in dressing back her dorsal wall, she stepped into her first mechanics setup and………….. She liked it.

Quite a durable shoeing package, the flexible cuffs and ease of putting it together while the horse is weight bearing set up the horse in a WIN WIN situation

Big up to Abby, she’s a kind, smart young mare. She remembered her set up trim, she’d been sore looking for relief . She took this second visit as further conformation she made a friend to help her out of her negative pathology cycle.

It was awesome to have radiographs to Cathy & Clint for going the extra mile, training your mare to be confident and believing “There’s always an always”

She will do well in her set up, first day of a new life, well deserved.”
