Horses are incredible animals, but they face challenges from nature, such as salt storms that can damage their hooves. This damage can lead to serious issues that prompt the need for skilled farrier intervention. Recently, farrier Bart Lambert used Glushu in combination with Shubond to help repair a horse's hoof that was ravaged by a salt storm. Find Bart on Facebook to see more of his work.

From Bart Lambert:

“Last project of the day! This horses hoof wall was completely damaged due to a salt storm. I cleaned up everything nicely, then applied a thin layer of Shubond with copper sulphate. Following this I fitted a Glushu frog support. I modified on shoe with a toe lip on it for the reconstruction to bring the other road for the GluShu to the correct position.”

In cases where the hoof wall is significantly compromised, traditional methods often fail. Here, Glushu emerges as a modern alternative, providing essential support and protection.

The application of Glushu is designed to provide strong support, leading to a more resilient hoof structure. This product adapts to various hoof conditions while ensuring the horse remains comfortable and functional. For Bart, incorporating Glushu with a specialised support system proved beneficial, leading to a more effective recovery.

As horse owners, it is crucial to understand the innovative solutions available for common problems like hoof damage. If your horse has injured its hoof, reaching out to a professional farrier is your best option. They can assess the situation and determine if Glushu is suitable for your horse’s specific needs.

For those interested in using Glushu as a treatment option, it is available for purchase through our online store or local farrier supply shops.
